Gerald (Gerry) K. Perkel President and Chief Executive Officer Interview with Gerry Perkel Mr. Perkel has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Planar since September 2005. Prior to joining Planar, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Merant PLC, a provider of ECM (enterprise-change management) software that was acquired by Serena Software in 2004. From 2000 to 2001, Mr. Perkel served as president of the Office Printing Business at Xerox, a multi-billion dollar segment of Xerox’s business. Prior to that, from 1995 to 2000, Mr. Perkel was president of the Color Printing and Imaging Business of Tektronix. Mr. Perkel received his BS in System Science engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Ryan Gray Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Interview with Ryan Gray Mr. Gray joined the Company in 2005 and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Since joining in 2005, Mr. Gray has held various positions inside the Company including Director of Finance for worldwide operations, Corporate Treasurer, Vice President and Corporate Controller, and Vice President of Finance. Prior to joining Planar, Mr. Gray has held significant financial planning and analysis, business partnering and treasury positions at Sequent Computer Systems, Radisys, Merant plc and Tektronix. He has a BS in Finance from the University of Portland.

Rob Baumgartner Vice President, Global Operations Interview with Rob Baumgartner Mr. Baumgartner has been with Planar since July 2000 and currently serves as the Vice President of Global Operations. He has served in a variety of marketing, sales and operations roles during his tenure at Planar. Prior to joining Planar, Mr. Baumgartner served in a marketing role for LeCroy Corporation and a variety of engineering and marketing roles at Tektronix. Mr. Baumgartner received his BS in Electrical Engineering and his BS in Economics with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Pennsylvania.

Benjamin Clifton Vice President, Technology Interview with Benjamin Clifton Mr. Clifton joined Planar as Vice President in 2006. He held this position at Clarity Visual Systems, prior to Planar’s acquisition. He has been instrumental in the integration of Clarity’s video wall and digital signage display products into Planar, and brings his specialty display expertise to all of Planar’s markets. Mr. Clifton has 22 years of experience in the display field, working for Tektronix, InFocus, Motif, and Clarity Visual Systems. He was recipient of the SID 1992 Best Paper Award, and holds 18 patents in the display field. Ben graduated from Washington State University with a BS in electrical engineering and a minor in computer science.

Jennifer Davis Vice President, Marketing Interview with Jennifer Davis Mrs. Davis joined Planar in 1998 and has held a number of diverse and increasingly impactful roles in marketing, business operations, and global customer service and now heads Planar’s Marketing departments. Her contributions to Planar span a wide variety of markets and technologies, including digital signage and architectural displays. Prior to joining Planar, Mrs. Davis worked for Intel Corporation and held a senior marketing management role at a software start-up. Mrs. Davis holds a BS in Business Administration and History from Warner Pacific College and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Steve Going Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Interview with Steve Going Mr. Going joined Planar as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in March 2007. Prior to joining Planar, Mr. Going served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Merix Corporation. Mr. Going also served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Merant PLC, a provider of enterprise change management software products and acquired by Serena Software in May 2004. Mr. Going was a Partner in the Portland, Oregon office of Perkins Coie LLP, a large international law firm, where he served growth companies in the areas of general corporate and strategic advice, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, technology transfers and securities regulation. Mr. Going holds a BS in Business Administration (Finance) from Oregon State University and a JD from The UCLA School of Law.

Jeff Maurer Vice President and Chief Information Officer Interview with Jeff Maurer Mr. Maurer has been with Planar since August 2007 and currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining Planar, Mr. Maurer served as the Senior Director of Information Technology at InFocus Corporation, and Project Manager at Sequent Computers. Mr. Maurer received his BS in International Business from Oregon State University, and completed his BS in Computer Science and MS in Software Engineering from Portland State University/Oregon Graduate Institute.

Adam Schmidt Vice President, Sales Interview with Adam Schmidt Adam joined Planar in June 2001, and currently serves as Vice President of Sales for North America. Since joining Planar, Adam has held various customer-facing positions in Customer Service, Marketing, Business Development, and Sales. Prior to joining Planar, Adam worked in Marketing at Mentor Graphics, and as a Project Manager for Washington County (OR) Land Use & Transportation. Adam has a BS in Economics and an MBA from Willamette University.

Rob Stewart Vice President, Managing Director of International Sales Interview with Rob Stewart Rob joined Planar in January 2010, and currently serves as Vice President, Managing Director of International Sales. Prior to joining Planar, Rob worked in various positions in Tektronix and Xerox for 28 years leading up to the position of World Wide Marketing VP of the Office Group, an 8 billion dollar business. After he retired from Xerox, he was active in angel investing and serves on a number of boards. He has a B.S.E.E. from the University of Maine and an M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
